The Mandala: the symbol of an ancient and sacred ritual. Colored sand is laid to create a symbolic map of the world before the pattern is ceremonially destroyed and the sand cast into the river.
You play colored cards into two Mandalas, building the central mountains and growing your fields. As soon as a Mandala has all six colors within it, you take turns to claim the colors in the mountain and add them to your cup and river. At the end of the game, the cards in your cup are worth points based on the positions of the colors in your river.

Great, fast time filler
Once we got the hang of it, fun game to play quickly. Usually end up playing best of 3 or 5 rounds to determine the winner.

Fun 2 player strategy game
Took a few turns to get it down, but it is quick and lots of replay potential

I love the cloth board. It`s an easy game but it can be a little confusing in the first match.

Great two player game
We're always looking for satisfying two-player games, and this one is definitely one of our new favorites. We played three times in a row on our first time. Games are pretty quick, but each turn you're thinking hard about the most strategic move. The game mat feels very high quality. This game is beautiful too!

excellent
Mandela is an amazing two player gaming experience! I dont totally love the theming and wish there was more room on the cloth game mat but-- it's excellent all the same.

Much Better Than Anticipated
I'd heard a lot of good about Mandala and, for some reason, I waited to buy it. Now I regret it. It's so good. The balance of hand management versus tableau building and variable scoring really makes you think about your next play and question if now is the right time to make your move. Excellent game.

great game - on my wish list for a longtime
game has been on my watch list. i was not sure if it live up to the recommendations of internet reviewers... very simple rule with alot of strategy. a great game . quick, easy to set up. lovely to play. my only negative the cards are hard to shuffle. I highly recommend
