TEN Review

TEN is an exciting push-your-luck and auction game for the whole family! Players draw cards one-at-a-time, trying to add as many as they can without exceeding a total value of TEN, or they bust! Players may push their luck to draw more cards and use currency to buy additional cards in their attempt to build the longest number sequence in each color. When valuable wildcards emerge from the deck, players compete in auctions to obtain them in order to fill gaps in their sequences!

Don't bust

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Watched a movie on how to play and read the directions to my nephews. Have played this a couple of times and the replayability is there. Great for kids who are learning how to add and subtract.

Just as good as Point Salad or No Thanks

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

So I have a lot of family members who are not into medium weigh board games but seem to really enjoy filler weight games. Thankfully after finding our Ten has the same developer as one on my family’s favorite card games Point Salad I decided to give Ten a shot. It has been a huge success for them and even more for me because it has a great use of the push your luck mechanism which is of of my favorite mechanisms in games in general. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who enjoys point salad or no thanks card games.

TEN: The Card Game

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Originally, I purchased this game back in October 2021. I loved the card game, but was informed by someone at the BoardGameGeek that the cards were flimsy and might not last very long. I was also confused with the ability to play the game solo. Then, 'lo and behold', the game was impossible to purchase for over a year, until Miniature Market informed me that the game came back in. For me, the 2 or more-player card game was fantastic and included ideas not associated with any other card game: auctioning of cards you don't need, pressing your luck to turn over another card (?) and receiving good and bad stones. I just wish someone on the Geek Squad would include a video as to how the solo game works. This card game isn't going back anytime soon!

One of the best card games of 2021

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Ten fits a lot of different mechanics into a small card game with much better gameplay than its initial appearance would have you believe.

Good, not great

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

Overall an enjoyable experience played with my niece and nephews. Ages 7-13. They enjoyed the push your luck element. They would definitively play again. It’s quick enough and turns move pretty quick that even at 5 players it didn’t seem too long. I assumed that there would be a lot more busting and that would lead to some fun moments. But there were only 2 in the entire game and it didn’t feel like anyone was playing too conservatively. It was always the best decision to just stop and collect.

Ten is an awesome game to play with all levels and aged gamers. It was fast paste and enjoyable with enough push your luck to get exciting.
