It’s a fun boss battler game with solid story driven elements. My 12 year old daughter and 13 year old son both love it. My daughter normally doesn’t like complicated games but enjoys the theme and story. Bear in mind we are only two scenarios in so I can’t tell if the writing will fall off but seems solid so far. The theme is great and doesn’t feel forced. I will say learning the rules isn’t the easiest. You will find yourself looking at it multiple times your first couple of scenarios. It’s been the only frustrating element of the game so far.

Very fun boss battler. I like the way you pull the items out of the bag to activate the Ai.

This game is a gem. Fantastic artwork and very immersive theme. We are about five scenarios in and feel like we are really starting to develop our characters. The scenarios are relatively quick and each one leaves you just wanting to continue.

So far this has been a blast! Love the theme. Only have played 2 players so far and I think 3 would be good but 4 might suffer a bit from too much waiting between plays (not sure though). Player actions are simple enough but most turns it feels like a choice needs to be made. Only have played 3 scenarios and not sure if it will get much harder, but we aren't playing this for brutal difficulty.

Great, unusual style. There's a base coat of mechanics, but a lot of the scenarios provide a twist to that. And in each scenario, details and changes pop up as you go along, so there's always fun surprises, items, and (of course) challenges that you do not know at the beginning of the scenario. It keeps things interesting throughout each scenario and across the game. In the end, each scenario is its own puzzle for you to figure out and work through. Great for solo play with two characters. However, there are things that would be kept secret from each other that would be fun with more players, but overall a wonderful experience solo.

Lovely game! Complex enough to be interesting, intuitive enough that I think I can solo the game “two handed”. Really evocative setting and slick game rules with interesting flavor text all over. Can’t wait to experience the whole campaign!!

Bought this for my husband as an early Christmas gift because he had been waiting over a year to get a copy, well worth it he loves the game! The art style is amazing and very detailed, the game play itself is a great storyline to solve the mystery of why your on the train, the production quality is off the charts!

Awesome theme and storyline that flows with the gameplay. We were on the edge of our seats. Our game group can't wait to play again!

Vagrantsong is a well-produced medium-weight boss battler game. Setup and play is smooth and the game has some fresh ideas. Components are high-quality, though a better thought-out built-in storage system would have been appreciated.

I've been looking forward to this game and it did not disappoint.
