The beloved worker-placement game Russian Railroads puts players in the shoes of Russian railroad moguls tasked with completing the Trans-Siberian Railway, as well as two additional railways. Work to create your railway system to get you from place to place, all while developing and advancing your machinery and industry. Build factories to create more advanced technology, and invent newer locomotives to get where you need to go even quicker.
In Ultimate Railroads, this gaming experience is complemented by the inclusion of the American Railroads and German Railroads expansions, including all existing promo content. With these, you can experience everything you love from the base game, as well as the additions from both expansions.
On top of the two existing expansions, Ultimate Railroads also includes a brand new adventure for players, Asian Railroads. Not only that, but a solo variant will allow players the chance to test their skills on their own. All in one box
Replayability increases geometrically when you go ultimate. All versions are in one box, so it's easy to change up the experience. At the same time, the similarities between the games make it easy to pick up each one very quickly.

poor manufacturing
Sadly, my copy had some serious cardboard printing errors where the printing is wildly off-center from the cuts. The least troublesome are gold coins that are only partially printed on the coin and the other half on waste. The worst are the 4 German route extension tiles, where the route #s are completely off the tile and are on the waste. It's a real disappointment, especially since it's both expensive and it has been a couple of years, and I would have thought that a purchase now would have resulted in a clean game. Pretty disappointing.

Everything in one Box
Everything that is Ultimate Railroads in one box at a reasonable price. A great worker placement game where you can string together some huge combos.

A big heavy worker placement
I started playing Russian Railroads on BGA on a whim and quickly decided that this is a game to own and really devote time to for improvement. It's very thinky, every decision really matters, with lots of varying paths for scoring a TON of points. Won't be a game for everyone, but lovers of worker placements will find something to enjoy with this one. While I have only played Russian Railroads, I can't wait to play all the other variants and mini-expansions that are included in Ultimate Railroads.

Fun time
This game is a lot of fun and makes you really think ahead to try to make the best plans for building your railroad. There are so many additional things to add into the game to support so much replayability. Also the storage trays included hold everything nicely.

BEST. GAME. EVER.
I LOVE this game! I played Russian Railroads on GameBoard Arena and loved it. I was a bit afraid of trying it on a tabletop to be honest. I wasn't sure how hard it would be to track available moves, and wasn't even sure how to score things correctly - but after playing it the first time - those fears were gone! I LOVE this game! There are several expansions included in this box set and the box is well-designed to fit everything neatly in organized areas. I love the options each expansion offers for play - there are quite a few strategies you could take to win - and my strategy changes each time I play based on what the other person is doing for their strategy. There's a 2 player option as well - which is nice but also plays well with up to 4 players.

One of the best worker placements with all the expansions in one box! Each turn you will be trying to churn out points in a way that will exceed the other players. Great game indeed.

I have only played Russian Railroads at this point but would recommend it too anyone... can't wait to play the other maps!
