Army Painter: Wet Palette

If you are a beginner, skip for now. But if you have been painting for a bit and are ready to learn how to create better gradients, this is for you. Has made a big difference and upped my skill level by letting me experiment more.

This is a great wet palette. It is solidly designed, and comes with a nice brush tray and band to keep the palette closed when not in use or moving it. It comes with a spare pad and plenty of papers and from my experience I've used it, and come back roughly 30 hours later and had the paint inside still be wet and usable.

Good product for the money. Nice to be able to lid & save.

If you're serious about miniature painting with acrylics, then you need this. At least if you do anything more than base, wash, highlight. Mixing colors make a wet palette a must and this one works pretty well. The only downside is it's a bit small and it isn't airtight. I'm not a physicist tho so maybe it shouldn't be airtight cos of mold or something? I'd knock it down a star for being so small, but the price matches the size so you can't really complain. But it will keep your paints fresh after you mix them and while painting so you aren't wasting paint or constantly having to remix your colors. Without something like this, you can forget about doing layering, and other kinds of blends and advanced techniques. The brush holder is nice, and along with the cheap price justifies buying this over building one out of tupperware or something similar. Because I'll pay a few bucks to not have to scrape together all of these parts that will end up costing almost as much anyway. Comes with a ton of that parchment papers and two foams, so this will last you for a long time as long as you aren't wasting space.

Solves a number of key problems with mini painting: palette mess, saving your mixed paints, having paints dry out... extremely useful thing to have. You can of course make your own but this has some nice little additions like a paintbrush holder and a nice outer case that lets you take it where you need it.

Much higher quality than I expected. Case is extremely sturdy and well built. Definitely my new go to painting accessory!

I'd never used a wet palette, but I generally feel bad if my paint dries out on the palette as I paint as I feel like I'm wasting it. Figured I'd give a wet palette a shot. I can put paints on it and come back 5 days later and they're still workable. They do separate on the palette and need to be mixed back together after a couple days, but that's not much trouble. Especially considering the alternative is it just drying out and going to waste. If you paint slowly over time like I do, this is a great addition to your toolkit.

This wet palette is great in many ways. I have had one of these for well over a year. It holds moisture well enough for not being fully sealed, and I haven’t had any mold issues. The built in tray comes in handy quite often. My only real issue is that it could be a little bit larger.

I've used this a few times and it has worked great. I'd encourage anyone to use this for painting.

Love the pallets, needed a new one so bought the same as before. Only slide is that I wish it had just a tad bit more surface area to spread out for larger projects.
