The American 1st Marine Division landed on the island of Guadalcanal in August 1942, seizing the airfield that the Japanese had built there. The Japanese responded by building up forces on the island in an attempt to retake the airfield. Both sides were hampered by limited supply and very limited intelligence regarding the other's disposition.
This game can be played as both a 2-player game or solitaire, based on which side of the board you choose. Both games have similar concepts, but are unique to themselves.

Simple but fun game, either solo or 2-player
This a quick playing, easy to learn game that plays well either solo or two player. Note that the solo game plays quite a bit differently than the two player, so it’s really like getting two games for one. As with all Worthington games, the production value is high.
