Fun expansion to a solid table top game
The mechanics are great! The tripods are fun, and the planes are a blast to steer around. Though only getting two models was a bit disappointing with the game being labeled as "stand alone" I had to purchase additional planes from my local shop after opening the box in order to have a level playing field between the two sides. The models are definitely aces for pre-painted miniatures with great detail. The game convinced me to pick up "Wings of Glory" and I have already ordered more tripods to vary games up! Basic rules make the game easy to break into, while standard, and advanced rules really look to spice things up. All in all a worthy purchase. P.S. Ensure to listen Jeff Waynes "War of the Worlds" while playing the game.

Great Mechanics, Great Fun
Wings of Glory is one of the original and still best flight game systems. Adding H.G. Wells Tripods to the mix via this box has added so much additional interest in our group, as its brought in sci-fi and fantasy players to what has hitherto been a purely historical system. The Tripods' mechanics add some interesting and challenging asymmetry to the game, and overall it's a proven to be quite a hit. I've had a number of friends buy into the system after a demo game. It's a winner that I look forward to playing for years to come.

Not worth the money.
Seriously under scale tripods (in that they should be much taller not just twice the wingspan of a Nieuport) which makes the game look pretty feeble. I don't think I will be buying any of the add ons. I doubt any of my game playing friends will be interested.
