Tri-Pack II includes four battles and multiple scenarios to afford players hours of replay value as they chase the secret sauce of complete victory on classic American Revolutionary War battlefields.
Germantown, 1777 Blindfolded by the thick fog, American brigades stumbled into one another leading to a friendly fire incident and a spreading panic in the American ranks. This, together with the stout British defense of the Chew House, led to the defeat of General Washington's ambitious four-pronged attack at Germantown. General John Armstrong of the Pennsylvania militia later wrote, "A glorious victory fought for, and eight-tenths won, was shamefully but mysteriously lost."
Monmouth, 1778 The British army of General Sir Henry Clinton was under orders to evacuate Philadelphia and shift its base of operations back to New York City. The Americans, trained, disciplined, and replenished after winter quarters at Valley Forge, shadowed their prey to the crossroads hamlet of Monmouth Courthouse in central New Jersey. The longest battle of the war, fought on the hottest day in New Jersey up to that time, was about to be fought.
Newtown, 1779 Newtown was the only set-piece battle fought during the Revolutionary War between an army of Iroquois warriors and elements of the Continental Army. The stakes were high, and the consequences profound as reflected in this best-in-class simulation of asymmetric Native American warfare.
Oriskany, 1777 A British advance down the Mohawk Valley was the third prong in a proposed campaign to sever New England from the rest of the colonies and smother the American rebellion in its cradle. An unexpectedly strong American defense of Fort Stanwiz, however, doomed the efforts of the British besiegers despite a successful Indian and Loyalist ambush of General Herkimer's relief force that gave this battle its name.
Tri-Pack II also includes reformatted, full-color rule books with updated and clarified rules, improved order of battles, new player aid cards, new scenarios, and all the replacement counters that have been issued for the four games over the years, making your sets complete and up to date.
