The Flugabwehrkanonenpanzer Gepard (Antiaircraft Cannon Tank, Cheetah), or Flakpanzer Gepard for short, is the main anti-aircraft vehicle of the panzer divisions. It is fitted with a sophisticated anti-aircraft radar system for locating and tracking its targets. The Gepard is based on the hull of the Leopard 1 tank, with a large turret mounting a pair of 35mm Oerlikon autocannon and its tracking and search radar dishes. With a rate-of-fire of 550 rounds per minute for each gun, the Gepard does nasty things to Soviet aircraft.

Need air cover, stat!
You've got those Expensive Leopard 2 tanks but they are vulnerable to air attack, until now! Gepards can clear the skies of the red menace!

Deadly but attracts a lot of enemy fire.
I encounter a lot of soviet Hinds in my games so I eagerly picked up a pair of these as soon as I could. The models are resin with metal guns & radar. They were easy to assemble and the resin turret sits and rotates so easily I didn't even bother magnetizing them. The gun are hard to keep straight - the soft metal bends very easily and doesn't sit in their mountings as nicely as I'd like. In-game they are fantastic at targets enemy air assets, which means people always make them a priority target as soon as I put them down. They aren't as long ranged as some other AA, so there's a problem keeping them alive. I'm thinking about protecting them with Fliergast AA teams to make it o dangerous for the helicopters to try and alpha strike them.
