Kingdomino Origins

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Kingdomino Origins has three modes of play, all of which are in the middle between Kingdomino and Queendomino in complexity. Components felt a little thinner than Queendomino but they're fine. Great welcoming game to ease casual gamers into the full game with three modes.

Just slightly more complex than the original

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Kingdomino has always been a great choice as a super-quick-to-teach game you can share with friends at a moment's notice and play several games of in half an hour. Kingdomino Origins is still a very quick game to teach and play, but adds just enough new complexity to attract the interest of people who were growing a bit tired of Kingdomino. A better game for Kingdomino fans than new players, as it feels more like an expansion, even though the whole game is there and playable out of the box. Still a strong recommendation, even if you haven't played Kingdomino!

Kingdomino but Better

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Kimgdomino Origins takes Kingdomino and allows you to tune it to the group you’re playing with. Such a great design!

Even better than the original

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I really enjoyed the original Kingdomino game so I had high hopes for this version. It has three different gameplay options and so far we’ve only played the first version which is most similar to the original game. Already, the inclusion of the volcano has given a new depth of gameplay and strategy. The design is similar to the original with cute caveman illustrations and player pieces.

Great Variation

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I've always been a fan of Kingdomino--and I'm impressed at how interesting almost all the variants have been. I particularly like the fire/volcano mechanism in this version. Customize your own point-builders!

Best Kingdomino Yet

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

You can play it like the original Kingdomino, or there are a few modules you can throw in to ramp up the complexity.

More tile laying goodness

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Queendomino is a favorite of ours and the new Origins version is fast usurping that spot! It's got great choices to make and fun colorful illustrations that draw you into the world you are building with tiles and tokens.

Excellent addition to the KingDomino family games

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This is an excellent addition to the KingDomino family of games. It has essentially the same game mechanics, but adds in some of the expansion ideas that were added later to the original KD/QD games. With this one being in the caveman times, it has a unique appeal to the younger/children part of the family. The erupting volcanoes ability to sow destruction is an interesting element - reminiscent of the KD Giants expansion. I look forward to this game getting additional tile sets the ability for more than four players. The game is of the same high-quality components as one may have come to expect from Blue-Orange games.

The Best of Kingdomino, with Built-In Expansions

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Our family likes this better than Kingdomino as you have more control over the scoring multipliers (multifires?). Only played Discovery mode so far. Tile placement rules for volcanoes is unclear in rules -- we house-ruled they count as any terrain since they can't count toward scoring.
