This appears to be a common problem and mainly for the 36d6 sets, but two of the dice in the center of the cube were pretty mangled, with cracked and scraped faces. Still useable, fortunately, and hard to complain at this price point
Quality, chessex are great. I later fell in love with the super tiny 5mm dice I got from Pippd.com for Christmas because there's something less menacing about 50 ultra tiny dice being thrown for damage and they take up no room in my bag but these are so solid, chessex is practically a D&D staple and I like them both. Variety is the spice of life, or something like that.
These are are nice. Easy enough to read without being as in your face as white on opaque green, feels kinda sophisticated somehow. Just buy whatever makes you happy, that's why there's a million sizes and colors.
