Ankh: Gods of Egypt Review
How to Play Ankh: Gods of Egypt

For centuries, Egypt had been a polytheistic society. But now, the civilization is moving to a monotheistic religion. The gods are fighting among themselves for the veneration of the populace.

In Ankh, players take on the role of the gods of Ancient Egypt. They'll fight for the adoration of the populace, building up their followers, dedicating monuments, recruit monsters their side, and divide the desert in order to establish their dominance. In the end, only one will remain.

GREAT fun, simple rules, lots of depth.

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I love when a game manages to have a fairly simple, straightforward ruleset, yet it doesn't sacrifice depth. A lot of that depth comes from tight decision making. There is always more than one path, and never enough time to accomplish everything you want, making for a tight, reasonably fast-paced game.

Ankh

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Ankh is probably the best 2 player game in this trilogy (Blood Rage, rising sun, and Ankh). Even though the catch-up mechanic in a 3+ game just seems a little wanky. Overall very pleased with the game and is an exceptional 2 player game and a very good 3+ player game.
