Bloodborne: The Board Game

Bloodborne the board game is everything that is great about the video game. Players choices are the heart of this game. No dice rolling, all about how you use your stamina and deciding when to attack and when to hold off. The deck building aspect that you allows you to slowly improve your deck is a great representation of leveling up. Highly recommend. A

I've purchased this game twice, both from Miniature Market. One is fully painted, the other for a giveaway! These minis are fantastic to painted once primed!

This game is awesome. It made me start playing the videogame as I liked this so much. I hope they do another Kickstarter.

I bought this mostly for the miniatures, but the game has some interesting mechanics.

I haven't played it yet, but it got excellent reviews and was on sale at a great price, so I bought it. Plus, cool minis!

This game is something special. As an avid fan of the video game, I love it. It hits the nostalgia and the mechanisms in the game translated a familiar experience. The game is punishing and intense and requiring the player/s to be to clever and strategic while also putting enough pressure to invoke those, Well, we're just going to have to go for it... moments. My children (ages 11, 8, and 6) play this with me. They are aware of the video game and have watched Dad take on a few bosses in the video game. They handle the strategy of this well, and they handled our first big loss well. Instead of getting upset (which I would totally understand), they starting strategizing how we could do a better job the next time. This will be one of my favorites for the year.

The game is fun and addictive, but can be confusing. Of course the player aid card helped.

The game is well thought out and is an amazing addition to any boardgame collector. And the minis are greatly detailed.... Find myself begging for the add-ons now... A MUST HAVE!

This is not the sort of game I normally play, but I was intrigued by the card driven combat in the game. In practice, the system is so restrictive and the best decision so obvious (though often unsatisfying) that the game is not interesting to play. The randomness of enemy spawns and especially the swinginess of boss decks makes you disengage from the experience. The mission cards are frequently poorly worded and result in more cooperation parsing what the designer wants you to do than in playing the game. It really is the same dry task, over and over again.

I'm still just setting up the game but I am very excited to play. I think I will really like this game. The combat rules are a bit different than what I am used to but I like the change. Minis are great. I do wish some components were a little better specifically I wish the Hunter's Dream board and the player boards. I wish they used thicker cardboard similar to the location tiles. Overall, the game looks great.
