The New Gods are a race of ultra-powerful beings who inhabit two warring planets in a far away galaxy, with Super Heroes living on New Genesis and Super-Villains residing on Apokolips. Play as Orion, Mister Miracle, Big Barda, Kalibak, Granny Goodness, or Darkseid. No teams to be found here - it's every God for him or herself!

Instead of the usual Super-Villain stack, there are two stacks of HOMEWORLD cards. Each Homeworld has a special ability that all players can take advantage of, as many of the New Gods have spent time on both sides of the conflict. If you are Darkseid, you seek to conquer New Genesis...but so do your fellow Super-Villain players. The Super Heroes, conversely, compete to conquer Apokolips. When either Level 3 Homeworld is conquered, that ends the game and the player with the most VPs wins!

We love the DC Deck Building Game, and we're excited to add this to our collection. New characters and cards. These aren't are favorite, but they were nice to add to our collection.

Fighting Home worlds is a refreshing change with very strong Cards in this expansion

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

The new gods crossover pack 7 is themed around the battle between two home world planets of New Genesis and Apocolips. This expansion has both oversized heroes and villains one of which is Darkseid. I would say this expansion has 5 out of 6 over sized heroes/villains that are extremely powerful with the exception of Kalibac. Nonetheless the heroes and villains have great abilities that can be used without using the expansion cards if you choose to just play the base games in which ever DC Deckbuilding game you own. The new game cards for the main deck are also very powerful and new keyword "protector" cards are introduced only for this expansion. As the goal here is not to defeat supervillains or superheroes but home world planets. Which brings to the first downside. Unlike previous expansions where 1-5 players can play, this expansion involves two sides not teams but an even number of players. It works with 2 or 4 players e.g. Two supervillains and two superheroes Together each side aiming to defeat the opposing team home world. The good: Great oversized supervillains and superheroes Fighting planets is refreshing for a change as both sides still gain the on going effects of the planets. Having the new protector cards makes for interesting gameplay upon when rivals are attacking your home world. The price here on Miniature market @ 9.99 is a great deal for value. The bad: Limited to 2 and 4 players Actually for 4 players the game takes longer to end, especially if each team has protector cards.
