Disappointing

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

The marilith is a ferocious, nimble demon that carves up adventurers for breakfast with terrifying efficiency. Unfortunately, this mini disappoints. It's overly faithful to the Monster Manual artwork, which really could have been more dynamic and creative. The design is generic, the yellow goblin skin is odd, and the proportions are strange--why is the snake tail so thick and chunky-looking? I pulled two of these minis in random boxes, and the paint job is muddy, most of the blades were bent in random directions, and the sculpt lacks detail. The tail is especially bad. Are those melted lumps supposed to be scales? This marilith doesn't live up to the excellent standards of many other WizKids minis. If you need a marilith figure, you'd be better off getting the Reaper Bones version and painting it yourself.
