A Better edition of classic Bang, with katanas and neat gamerules
This game reuses the bang rules and style of game, with the Shogun, the loyal samurais, the ninjas and the traitor Ronin that must kill everybody This game have the Pro over his predecesor that all players participate in the whole game, because there is not player elimination, but when a player is defeated is prone and cant be attacked until stands up, the game ends when the first player is out of lifes (lotus flowers) As previous Bang the games have hidden roles and each player have a character power different from others, the game goes in rounds with lot of intrigue on who are the vicious enemy ninja or the traitor ronin. The game component cards come in very durable material, the game chits are cardboard hearts and lotus that will endure gaming for long. Samurai Sword is a party game that plays good in big groups from 5 to 8 players well, and fast enough to play as filler, casual games are great with this and the feeling of player removal is not in the game because the game ends with the first player being defeated. Not mutch languaje dependancy, but some because there are hidden information, but most comes with symbols and numbers.

better than BANG!
so, you are probably looking at this because you own bang. I love this a lot more because it fixes THE problem of BANG!: games can get down to two people and take forever, leaving everyone waiting for the round to end. This game has a point system, where once the first player is eliminated, the scores are tallied. I disagree with the last review, the 'hidden identity' bit of the game is just as much a non-issue as it is in BANG!

Better than Bang! in many ways
This game is a lot of fun, and in my opinion fixes a lot of the issues with Bang!. First off, games don't take nearly as wrong. Overpowered characters are out, and there's much more focus on the betrayal and hidden identity aspects of the game. The art is also gorgeous, and very thematic. A beautiful game and a great addition to the table.
