Great expansion
I have played the heck out of this game. This expansion adds a cool Old One and a ton of cards for the old Old Ones. Worth the money.

Great (but necessary) expansion of base game.
I would say: great expansion. But it should really be considered part of the core game. Makes the game a bit more difficult and more varies. Highly recommended!

Essential expansion
Adds so much variety to the base game as well as adding a new Great Old One to face off against. Worth every penny.

Poisonous Problems
Forsaken Lore is the first expansion for Eldritch Horror. It has only one new Ancient One bad guy (Yig, the father of serpents) and no new Investigators. Despite that, this expansion has a lot of new and interesting cards for the game. Those new cards are mainly for Encounters (which there were too few of in the base game), but there are plenty of other types of cards included as well. And if you're facing Yig, watch out for all the new poison-related cards. Forsaken Lore is a decent first expansion for Eldritch Horror, but I'm glad the rest (even the other small box expansions) of the expansions had more content to them.

Great Expansion
Adding this to the base game is almost required. The increased amount of base cards this expansion gives you, right out the gate, makes it a must have. The extra Ancient One is also pretty nice, but boy, is he nasty.

A Must Have for Every Eldritch Game
This expansion should be an absolute must for everyone that takes Eldritch Horror seriously enough to buy the base game. The expansion brings so many new cards and encounters to the table it is not even funny. When I first got my Eldritch Horror title I had to wait something like a month for the expansions to come back in stock. Eldritch Horror the whole time just felt like it was missing something, not that the game wasn't fun by any means just that the game could have used a few new cards in a few areas that we lacking diversity like the Elder God mysteries (increases the pool from 4 up to 6). The addition of the new elder god Yig is impressive, he's quite the challenge and this game loves the stay challenging. This game is in my opinion a requirement for everyone looking to take their collection seriously. I know I did and I don't regret this decision one bit, in fact I couldn't wait for this to finally arrive.
