Definitely an interesting game. Set-up is a bit lengthy but I like how the board builds over time.

The Best New Abstract? (Better than Azul)

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This game has far exceeded my expectations. I am not usually interested in abstract games, but picked this one up because it was sale. This game has everything I wanted from Azul. With the goal cards each game is slightly different, changing what you need to do to score points. The board is randomized every game and there are different layout options to try for even more variability. Each tile uses a different pattern to pick up surrounding tiles, and figuring out which tile to pick up and where to place it to get what you need is a fun puzzle. This game packs in more variability, strategy, and player interaction with a game length and complexity comparable to Azul. You can teach this game in 5 min and play it in 20-30 min. This game is best at 3 players, as i find that the player with the last action at 4 players often does not have a good option they can take as the tiles run out. In the 2 player version some tiles in the path are randomly removed, however you can also take turns for less randomness and more strategy. It is solid at 2 players, but I would always rather play at 3 players. Fantastic game, everybody I have played this with enjoyed it and wanted to play again. A great game for entry level gamers as well as the more experienced ones.

Tile Collecting Game

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

This is an interesting tile collecting game. I like how your power increases throughout the first few seasons, but then by the third season everything is maxed out and it becomes a game of scarcity. Lengthy set-up, but quick takedown. The tiles constantly stick together making pulling tiles out of teh bag a bit of a pain.
