Quick to learn, setup, play, and put away and pretty fun

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I bought this to see if I'd like the Tiny Epic series, and also because I was tired of waiting for One Deck Galaxy to release, and also because it was cheap. This game is more than worth the money. It is simple enough that you can pick it up and play in under and hour (if you're used to learning board games) and it has a surprising amount of depth considering how simple it is. I was very pleasantly surprised, because when reading the rules I was worried it would be too simple, but once you get to playing it opens up a lot of possibilities and is really intriguing. Even solo was pretty fun. I don't know if there are better space civilization games out there, but I don't know where you are going to find one that is this fun for so little money and which you can literally put in your pocket with room to spare. The game has variable powers, a sort of racing element, a bit of a yahtzee or king of tokyo vibe with the ability to reroll dice and push your luck a bit, and the theme is fun. I will say, in hindsight I may have chosen to get the regular version of the game as I'm not sure if this is compatible with the expansions, and the quality of the components in the larger size must be noticeably nicer. But other than that, if this seems like something you might be interested in you can't go wrong with this one. The only difficulty will be deciding between Ultra Tiny and regular Tiny. Having bought this version, I'd say that choice isn't as easy as I thought it might be.

Now EVEN SMALLER

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This is the size of a deck of playing cards, costs about half as much as the original version, and even includes the previously Kickstarter exclusive satellites & superweapons expansion. One complaint is that the dice are so small abd light that they have a tendency to fly everywhere when rolled carelessly, I lost one playing solo and it took a couple of minutes to find it. So I would recommend a small dice tray or tower

Only played solo

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

I've only played this solo and the experience was okay. Not my favorite but alright. I mainly bought it for its portable and compact nature for traveling and in that it does its job very well!
