Marquis is a solitaire worker-placement game with variable goals and a play time of approximately twenty minutes. The player places his resistance agents on spaces around town to achieve his goals - blowing up trains, publishing underground newspapers - but at the same time Milice collaborators and Wehrmacht soldiers patrol the area. Agents who can't make it back to the safe house at the end of the day are arrested, and never seen again.
With this new edition, we've added some new components to include some more difficult 3-star missions, some new spare rooms and resources, and made some tweaks to the rules & original components to improve clarity and gameplay.

Great solo worker placement game
Very pleased with this game! It is a fun solo worker placement game and the production quality on the materials themselves is top notch! (There is a PnP version available, but this version is well worth the price to me!)

Interesting solo game
This is a thinky, puzzly solo game. Easy to set up and a short game. Great for when you want a quick game in the evening!

Great Game!
Terrific little game that allows the difficulty to be ramped up. While I don't love randomness in most games, the push-your-luck elements of how you trail your workers across the board lets you choose how much luck can influence your game.

This is becoming a favorite solo game to take out and play in 20 min. Solo worker placement.

Solid solo pickup
Ordered Maquis having never played it, only on the recommendation of some folks on BGG when I was looking for a fairly portable solo game that has a lot of replayability. They were absolutely right. I've been enjoying the heck out of it and can set it up in a pretty tiny bit of space. It's more than a deck of cards, but still easy enough to keep in the car. The instructions aren't the clearest, but it has enough love on YT that you can fill in the gaps (the booklet was also a little bent as it was off-kilter when it was packaged). Even now, from time to time I wonder if I'm playing right. I'd normally knock off a star for the weak instruction set, but the game is enjoyable enough to make up for it.
