This double-sided neoprene playmat can be used with Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy or the original Eclipse boardgame. One side has a regular playing area for 2-9 players, and the other side has a specially designed playing area for a more balanced 5-player game. Also includes a handy carrying bag for the mat.

Great but huge!
I think the playmat completes the game and makes it much easier to organize everything. The mat is huge because the game itself is huge so make sure you measure your table.

Eclipse Playmat
This is a very nice mat. It's double-sided, with one side having the warp paths for a 5 player game. The borders are stitched and it even came with a carrying case.

It really makes you feel like a spaceship
Creates total immersion. Nice material. Cool bay makes me feel like nic cage in national treasure, but I'm stealing space.

High quality board game mat, compatibility with eclipse is just a bonus!
This is an excellent Mat, 3' by 3' very large, be aware. But we use this for almost all of our board games now as it is very high quality, and protects our games from bumping into table cracks and such.

don't play without it
I love Eclipse but this playmat makes the tile area a sinch to set up. It makes the game way better in setup and look. don't play without it!
