Beautiful and complicated
This is a point-salad, sandbox style, heavy euro-game with lots of little interesting things going on. I see people say frequently that this is a difficult teach and it is because there is a lot going on. I think the designers were more interested in how the game felt rather than worrying about how fiddly or complicated it is. While I appreciate a good, tight euro with minimal rules and lots of strategy, I also really like getting into something really complicated like this and discovery all the possible directions you could go. If you like heavy games this is a very good one. The first game or two can take a lot of time, but if you have some people willing go down this road with you it can be very replayable and a lot of fun. The artwork is beautiful and I did not measure the board, but it does not fit on my three foot wide table so plan for that too.

Unique Euro Hybrid with tons of depth.
Interesting and fun heavy Euro/3x game/hybrid sandbox. Not much else out there like it. Takes a few rounds/epochs to get the hang of how all of the guilds work with each other and interact with what is on the board. Very well written manual as well. Quality components with really great artwork. Game is very deep and gets better with each play. Works great with 2/3/4/5. Solo variant coming soon.
