As a Renaissance banker, you will finance kings or republics, sponsor voyages of discovery, join secret cabals, or unleash jihads and inquisitions. Your choices determine if Europe is elevated into the bright modern era or remains festering in dark feudalism.

Four victories determine the future course of Western Society: will it be towards imperialism, trade globalization, religious totalitarianism, or enlightened art and science?

This 2nd edition of the highly rated strategic card game has new features:

 • There are 77 new tableau cards, including all the expansion and BGG promo cards.

 • The player boards, tokens, and chess pieces are upgraded, including wooden pirate galleys, and round ships.

Just Getting Started

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This game is beautiful. I've messed around with it a bit to learn it and I know that my group will love it. The theme is strong and interesting.

Heavy but unsatisfying

Average rating of 3 out of 5 stars

A little disappointed. It's heavy and for all of that, it still can be ended quickly with a good starting spot. Waited two years for this on pre-order and it just was not worth the wait. The cards are awesome. So much history in there and relevant but I still don't love it.
