Poorly painted
Arrived unboxed, doesn't come with a stats sheet, but was carefully packaged. Like the other painted figure I got this was confirmed on my shipping confirmation email but inside the package the slip said zero sent, so I guess it was the floor model? I like the shape but he looks pretty sad too. So I removed him from the base, removed the spines, and I'm gonna repaint him into a beautiful giant cobra instead of a sad crookedly spined emperor cobra. Took a pic after I started removing the spines

Balanced if boring
I feel like snakes are hard to pose interestingly because they're all pretty boring. The sculpt is fine and the paint is good, though the colors are all cool-toned and all of them are around the same shade so they're not very dynamic. Very functional as a monster through, my players said big snake which is exactly what it is.

I actually can't review this miniature properly. My order information indicates I ordered this miniature, but what I received is actually the Darklands Rising #29 Emperor Cobra (U) (https://www.miniaturemarket.com/pbdr-29.html). It was a good deal (I paid $3 for it, vs. $4 for the one I received), and it is a fairly attractive miniature, good for all your (large-sized) giant snake needs. But I think I would like the Dungeons Deep version a bit more: this one has its head and neck thrust forward over the edge of the base, but I like the pulled-back, ready-to-strike pose evident in the picture of this version more.

Good Snake
This serpent makes good, slithery use of his Large base. The spiky frill on his hood was unnecessary, and the muddy brown color was a lost opportunity, but otherwise this is quite a nice Large snake.
