The much-loved historical board game Britannia returns - now published by PSC Games! This edition includes over 200 beautifully sculpted plastic miniatures and two ways to play: Classic Britannia (traditional play for 4 gamers on the standard board) and Duel Britannia (faster play for 2 gamers on a new board).
Control the destiny of famous nations from British history including the Romans, Caledonians, Saxons, Angles, Danes, and Normans. March into battle with famous leaders such as Boudicca, Arthur, Offa, Alfred, Harold, William, and the colorfully nicknamed Ketil Flatnose!
Britannia recreates the turbulent history of Britain from the coming of the Romans to conquest by the Normans. Each player controls several different nations who enter play over the course of the game. You aim is to gain victory points by area control, matching or surpassing each real-life nation's historical performance. The power of each nation will rise and fall as the game progresses through the centuries, so players must work out when to expand and when to consolidate with each nation.
You must pay attention to which areas will score you victory points (and when), and plan ahead to ensure that your armies hold the land most valuable to them while denying your opponents their lucrative areas.
Combat is determined by dice and occurs when one nations invades an area controlled by another. Careful planning can be blow apart by a poorly judged battle, or the luck of your gods may help you to achieve victory!
Classic Britannia is the game all fans know and love. Game play runs from 43 A.D. to 1085 A.D.
Duel Britannia is the new, fast-playing adaptation for two players, played on a board that includes Ireland. Game play runs from 350 A.D. to 1050 A.D.
