Dinosaur Tea Party @ 1:20:06

"You're looking well, darling. One lump or two?"

It's the most sought-after invitation of the year: Dinoton Abbey for high tea. Now you're all gussied up in your finery and ready for some tea and chit-chat. One problem: You can't remember anyone's name. Who's that, sporting the fancy brooch with her pet chicken? Is that Jeannine? Beatriz? Oh, dear. If you're not careful, you'll commit a faux pas everyone will be gossiping about.

Dinosaur Tea Party is a thorough reimagining of Whosit?, the 1967 identity-guessing game. Each player is a dinosaur with a hidden identity. Players take turns asking each other questions to figure them out. "Pardon me for asking, but are you wearing a hat?" "What lovely camouflage you're sporting. Are those spots?" When a player thinks they've figured everybody out, they announce their guesses. The other players indicate whether they're correct by dropping their sugar cubes into the dino teapot, which cleverly reveals if any of the guesses are wrong but not which ones. The first player to deduce everyone's name wins the game and is sure to be invited back for Sunday supper.

A delightful game!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Dinosaur Tea Party is a great game. It is based of of guess who but themed around dinosaurs at a tea party. The art work is adorable. The game play is very easy to pick up, as well as very well designed, and the 3 quirk cards (always lies, swaps answer, and always says no) add a bit of fun mischief to the game. Would highly recommend if you like simple deduction games with cute art work. Also as a bonus: we like playing blackout where we play until every dinosaur has been guessed instead of having the first to 3 points end the game and it is very fun that way.

A great modern version of Guess Who

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Great game for kids if they like Guess Who. Plays similarly to Guess in that you ask questions to try to deduce who each player is. The twist is that some characters will be restricted in the way they can answer. Honestly, the game wasn't a hit with my own kid and family. Artwork, while beautiful, could be difficult to comprehend for gameplay. Icons are available to help understand if the dinosaur is striped or not, has glasses, is eating, etc. I could see this being a great hit with families that are more inclined to Guess Who and other deduction games.

Don't miss it!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Dinosaur Tea Party is a wonderful deduction game that hits the sweet spot of being accessible to younger players, but still enjoyable to those of an older persuasion. I can't recommend it enough!

Simple but challenging game

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Really loved this as a game that was involved but didn’t take hours to learn the rules! It was simple in it’s design but still thought provoking and a mental challenge. I think it’s a good family/friends game that allows participation for many ages and levels. No reading skills required. The artwork was fantastic!

Great For Any Group

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

First time I played it our players were a D&D veteran, a couple that loves Gloomhaven, a Teacher that likes card games, and a gal that had only ever played Apples to Apples. Everyone had a blast. Funny voices are a MUST

More elaborate version of Guess Who

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Dinosaur Tea Party is basically a more elaborate version of the game Guess Who. But it allows you to play with up to 5 players. It's a fun, light game, perfect for the family.

Do the accents!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

We were introduced to this game by friends who taught us the proper way to play: with silly accents! It makes the game infinitely more fun because we are laughing the whole time! It's an enjoyable little deduction game, kind of like a next step up from Outfoxed. I'm so glad it came back into print and I love how Restoration Games took a fun concept (from a 70s game) and used dinos instead of people. The art is superb! My kids are 8 and 10 and caught on to how to play quickly. They do have trouble with the characters that require lying though because they are constantly trying not to grin or giggle haha!

Fun for the whole family

Excellent game and a great value. My parents and my kids played it together, including my 4yo, and all three generations loved it!
