Roll for the Galaxy

Wow! Talk about wow! I have friends who have told me that Roll for the Galaxy will easily replace Race for the Galaxy. The gameplay is more streamlined, the components are high quality (though I, like almost everyone else, wishes the dice were larger than the 12mm variety), and the multiple strategies to victory make Roll for the Galaxy a regular game night game. If there is any con to the game, it is that a player can runaway with a victory after the sixth round. Once players fill half of their tableau areas with developments or planets, it is common to see who will win quite easily with no hopes of other players making it a close game. Sometimes tile draws are just in one player's favor. That said, if two or more players are close (i.e. within four points) of one another near the midpoint of a game, anyone can eek out a win.

And finally, no confusing iconography!!!
