I've bought a good number of items from Miniature Market, and have never had an issue with them or their customer service. Had an issue once with a shipment getting lost in transit, and it was quickly resolved and resent immediately. In the Shadows: Resistance in France 1943-1944 is another wonderful addition to GMT's expanding inventory of engaging games that focus on specific conflicts. Will you coordinate the resistance to defeat the German occupation, or maintain an oppressive occupation to silence the Maquis? The two-player and solo modes are well-executed, and overall the gameplay is reminiscent of some of GMT's simpler COIN series. There's no dice to roll, and the outcomes of conflict and operations are determined by the Resolution Deck. Historical figures and events are brought to life in the Event Deck, which drives the action forward and provides considerable player agency. Highly recommended for players interested in games focused on the WWII era, or for those with an interest in some COIN-style mechanics.
