Paladins of the West Kingdom: Collector's Box

This box fits everything it says it does inside. Too bad you have to pay extra for a box that holds its game without lid lift though. An important detail is that this box is not compatible with the Folded Space Insert; it fits with extra room but then there is still a lot of lid lift. The insert that comes with this box is almost a 5, except for two small oversights. the Meeple/game piece storage fits them all but does not have enough separate slots to keep everything separate like the Folded Space insert does. Second, fitting all of the cards is challenging and tight if they are sleeved.

The box works well for combining Paladins and the City of Crowns expansion into one box and contains a mini-expansion that adds a new worker type (Vassals) that functions as any type of worker other than criminals. There are enough card slots to make organizing the various cards and other bits in a way you think makes sense; there are YouTube videos that show possible arrangements if you need some ideas.

If you have all the components and expansions for Paladins, then this is a must buy. Especially if you're in need of more space. It's surprising to see how three boxes worth of material fit into one box. Paladin's box doesn't fit most of its core-game content but this box does, so you won't have to worry about a plump box or lifted lid. Best of all, you get some promo cards in this box.

This is a nice fix for the storage issue for this game. It's a solid product, though I do wish it was clearer what components were supposed to go where and maybe better designed for verticle storage.

As with all the art in this line of games, the box cover illustration is magnificent. The mini-expansion is a perfect little nugget to justify having to buy a big box solution in the first place. The insert, however, is unworthy of this game. The cubbies don't match the game it's supposed to store. Everything fits, but one still needs to use bags to keep the different cards and components. Why bother with a big box solution, and not include a quality insert that improves storage, set-up and gameplay?

Great art and still not too big for the shelf. I like the mini-expansion as a nice boost to certain turns. As a note, I think the small wells are a bit tight for my chunky fingers if you want to put cards and not bits into them.

Great artwork and spacious box. I liked the extras that come with it but in the end you're just paying for a box so it's for die-hard fans for sure. I just happen to love this game that much :)
