One of Suchy's Finest
I've played most of Vladamir Suchy's big games: Prodigal's Club, Underwater Cities, Shipyard, & Pulsar 2849 and I would put Praga Caput Regni among the best of them. This game, for me, is the best mix of tactical and strategic gameplay. You have to have enough stone and gold in order to build buildings when it is most optimal to do so, but you often need windows and eggs to maximize your turns for other actions and to move up the two church/state tracks at the top of your board to maximize your points. There are many ways to score in this game and while there isn't a lot of direct player interaction, you have to be very careful how you lay your buildings because you could be setting up other players for big points later on and allow them to take area majority for big bonuses. I'm not very good at this game, but I really enjoy playing it.

Beautiful game, fast, and smooth
Praga's artwork and components are GORGEOUS. The gameplay is pretty fast, smooth and straightforward. You take an action tile from the action wheel which rotates after each turn (so the bonuses from the tiles, their positions and costs vary) and do the action (there are 6). That's basically how the turn goes. But like all Euro goodness, it's a very enjoyable puzzle to figure out how to combo your actions to maximize points and manage your resources to get actions done. There is SOME interaction on the city section on the board where players fight for good spots to place their buildings and of course, interaction where someone might take a building and action tile you want. Solo is great because the bot doesn't do anything, but it's just a beat-your-own-score type of game.

One of the best Euros of 2020
A very thinky euro that gives you a feeling of accomplishment by the end of the game. There isn't much here that is considered new in design but what it does, it does exceptionally.

It is a great game, which seems to be heavier than it really is, much for being too polluted, because the game is very simple, there are few actions available to the player, but they unfold and have so many consequences that it is even difficult to write, summarizing is one of those games that will always be giving bonuses and victory points, you will have a lot of skills that will give you advantages in doing some actions, will have several unique scores that only you score, although it seems complicated after the rules explained everything is clear, the symbolism is good and will be all intuitive. It is another great game, it is in the top 3 of the best games released in 2020. It lived up to the expectations created on it.

Vladikor Suchy did it again! An innovative, clever euro which reminds me a little of Shipyard. The nice solo version is big plus and you need 3 or 4 sessions to fully grasp the game. I recommend Praga for any dedicated euro enthusiasts.

Wanted to go 4.5
Do not focus on one thing. There is a lot to do and not a ton of turns to get all you want done. Great visuals and a lot of ways to win. I liked this and got stomped but look forward to playing it again.
