The Bones material is a polymer plastic. It is light-weight and slightly flexible, and is very durable. You can paint a Bones figure straight out of the package, and that paint job will also be pretty durable. Bones figures are as detailed as metal figures, for a much lower cost. Bones miniatures are produced with integral (built-in) bases, but it is easy to cut the miniature off of the base if you prefer to put it on something else. It is also easy to cut the figures apart to convert them into different poses or change weapons.

Great miniature for a young dragon! The size is spot on.

Young red dragon
I ordered 2 by accident. I plan on painting them as siblings our young mates. With hot water and then a quick I've bath, I posed the wings differently for each mini. Looking forward to finding them soon.

Very nice dragon
Gameplay value: You need a dragon. This is a dragon. You need this dragon. Q.E.D. Quality: Bones plastic is, of course, very durable. The sculpt is not perfect, but it is well textured, and most of the model has nice details. The wings seem a bit plain, but some shading work with paint can remedy that. I just need to get better at it. Price: Cheap. Did I mention you need this dragon? Because you do, and you can afford it. Value: Low price, nice quality, and it's a dragon. You need a dragon. This is also less than half the price for the comparable metal model, and doesn't appear to suffer any significant loss in detail. Instead, you get something that won't shatter or bend if dropped. Size: Approximately 3" from shout to tail tip, and 2-1/2" from base to wingtips. The integral base is slightly over 1" across at the widest point, but this model deserves at least a 2"/50mm base for use in a tabletop battle game or RPG.

Overall great!
this was my first dragon to paint, Ive always purchased prepainted dragons. overall I am very satisfied with the detail, I took my time using metallic enamel paint and was able to make this dragon look awesome. I painted 3 tones of red metallics and was able to do each scale individually, like I Said time consuming but worth it. it was definitely worth putting on the game table!

Very nice young dragon
I'm pretty new to mini painting and I loved painting this dragon. Drybrushing his hide really brought out nice detail on his scales. I haven't used him on the table top yet, so "gameplay" I put a 5. But, I think he will be an awesome addition to my growing tabletop mini collection. As far as size goes, he is listed as a "young dragon" and is only a bit taller than a normal mini. Definately inbetween a dragonling and a dragon, but at this price I think it is a great value. The shipping was super fast. FedEx tracker told me it would be here on Tuesday, and I actually received it the Friday before so A++ on that. The only thing I didn't like, are the spikes on his tail, not really a big issue, just a nitpick thing. But, easily fixed.
