Winds of Galecrest @ 44:45
Winds of Galecrest Review

In the world of Galecrest, sky pirates set sail on the winds in search of adventure, treasure, and glory. As an admiral, you command a vast and varied crew. . .but so do your rivals sailing other ships in the pirate fleet. Each day the fleet lands on a different island where you'll send a crew member to collect your share of the loot, hoping they;ll return to boost your growing group of characters.

Libertalia was originally released in 2012. Ten years later, we're celebrating the foundations of the original design with a revised and expanded edition that includes all-new art, 40 characters per player, a reputation system to resolve tiebreakers, deluxe loot tokens, a robust solo mode, and much more.

Better than I expected!

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I had always heard of this game but hadn't gotten to play it. After having tried it out, I can say it's alot of fun. The game starts out with everyone having the same cards, but each players hand changes depending on what they've played in previous rounds. It's way more thinky and strategic than you might think, and a lot of fun. A great game for gamers of all skill levels.

Libertalia - Easy to learn, harder to master

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I mean it when I say this is a very accessible game, even for non-boardgaming folks. The instructions are 4 small pages long and I was able to pick up how to play from a playthrough video. At two players, it has been fun but at higher player counts than that where the midshipman automa player isn't used, the game shines. It's chaotic piratey fun. I still kick myself for not synergizing my crew card plays well at times, allowing my opponents to sweep loot out from under me, or stick me with dubloon-losing relics. Turns are snappy and this game generates some solid player interaction and table talk/cursing (especially when the good loot gets snagged). This game gets a big thumbs up!

We really enjoyed this one. Easy to understand the rules and enough strategy to keep it interesting. This is a keeper!
