The board extension slides next to the back side of the game board, creating a complete board with bigger hexes (the content is the same). All units and resources in Scythe are kept on the board, so the larger hexes provide more space.
This is not a stand-alone game. This is an accessory for Scythe.

Great for games with 5 or more players
Scythe is a fun board game but with 5 or 6 players it can be cramped around the standard-size board. This expansion board works with the back side of the standard board to create a larger map for players to use. Worth it for the price.

When playing with more than four!
This makes the game look more epic than it should, and with 5+ players makes it easier to look around from across the table and see what's happening.

You need a big table...
It's just an extension, not an expansion. Makes the partial map on the back of the base game board match the full map on the front, only larger.

Good way to expand your space with expansion content
If you have the other expansions, this allows more space on the flip side of the original board. Simple addition but very useful.

Really nice
Kind of a table hog but it’s a nice cheap addition. Just flip your main board and add it to the edge for 70% more board.

Bigger Board Needed?
A bigger board is not required to play but with a full player count, it does free up elbow space at the table which is nice!
