Manufacturer: Stonemaier Games

In the summer of 2018 Stonemaier challenged Scythe fans around the world to design 32 new encounter cards. The result was an outpouring of creativity and clever writing that Scythe designer Jamey Stegmaier distilled, honed, and added to. While these cards can and should be shuffled in with your other encounter cards, it is recommend that people play a few games just with this new promo deck, sight unseen.

More Cards, More Interesting Events

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

It's a small box but it comes with a big impact. It drastically changes how Encounters affect the game. Perfect for if the old cards start to feel kind of samey.

Eh, more encounter cards

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

I probably don't need these since I don't play a lot. Just additional encounters to choose from.

Encounters

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

The only (somewhat) downside I’ve had with Scythe is the occasional bad encounter cards. This addresses that to some degree. I like the variety this expansion adds.

Great

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Doubles the amount of encounters and some of them effect all players which is nice.

Keep the fun alive

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

There's not much to be said about the expansions for Scythe except that if you enjoy Scythe, and the games are feeling a bit repetitive, get the expansions. They help revitalize the fun in the game. Encounters specifically has been fun in the area of selecting... Encounters! (Sorry if that's too cheesy)
