This expansion to Hive introduces two Mosquito pieces (for a total of 12 pieces for each player) to your Hive game. Once in play, the Mosquito takes on the movement characteristics of any creature it touches at the time, thus changing its characteristics throughout the game.

The Hive gets an upgrade
Perfect addition to The Hive. The Mosquito Expansion creates significant variability to gameplay making the game more replayable overall.

Good if you're looking to spice things up
I'm not in love with this expansion, however, it does add an interesting twist to the game in that you must pay attention to the location of your mosquito and your opponent's mosquito as it's movement is dependent on the adjacent hex. Increases the round variability and allows for a more subtle victory. Not a requirement, but definitely adds to the longevity of the game.

My daughter bought us the Hive game and we love it so much we had to have the expansion pack.

A must have expansion!
A great piece to add to a great game. The mosquito is a cool piece because it acts as a wildcard to whatever bug it may be touching. A very versatile piece whatever you need it to become for the situation. This one is a must have if you own Hive.
