Not the best expansion, but still a 5 for me

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I just love Legendary so more content is always good. I would probably get this one later if you're looking for some of your first expansions, but it is still worth getting if you love the characters or are a completionist.

A fun expansion and solid addition to the X-men family

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Overall, I found this to be an enjoyable expansion to Legendary. I've always been a huge fan of X-men, so it was nice to see some new material. The mechanics and new keywords/effects for these characters are pretty straightforward and rather interesting to use/manipulate. One of these new mechanics is the introduction of Sunlight / Moonlight, determined if there is a majority of even or odd cost of heroes in the HQ. While it can provide for some solid character abilities, this can however significantly impact your turn if the player on your right recruits a hero and it swaps between the Sunlight or Moonlight phase (based on the replacement hero in the HQ's cost) as some of your heroes' abilities may not then trigger. Saying that however, you can always play your recruit cards first and attempt to recruit a hero out of the HQ to change the phases back yourself (before playing the rest of your cards and then possibly attacking). My group and I were able to manipulate these phases with relative ease. As a side note, I think this may also be some of my favorite box art that exists in this franchise. In conclusion, very glad to have picked this one up.
