Some plastic to make the evenings go by.
I had a good time assembling these miniatures! I liked the variety, but as I was strictly making fantasy lizardmen there were plenty of bits that I didn't use. But those can always go in the bits bin, never know when you'll need a musket.

Good Kit
Like this a lot. Good mix of options, though it doesn’t look like you can give everyone all options (for instance there is only two automatic rifles per sprue of three).

Use it anywhere
These have so many options that I find myself getting hobby paralysis from a single box!

Great models
Overall, these are nice models. I like how they come with weapon options for a number of different periods including fantasy, sci-fi and black powder.

Blackpowder lizardmen yes
So far every Wargames Atlantic kit I have picked up has been good though I was a bit skeptical of weather I would like these Lizardmen or not. After buying them from Miniature Market lovely overstock sale I have to admit these scalies are some of the most fun to build plastic minis I have come across, and I am going be buying more of these little guys. As stated on the box, they come with parts for fantasy, Sci-Fi, and VSF or alternative fiction. It is a must for a “SPACE 1899†fan interested in using 28mm gaming minis or someone wanting a non-human option for their blackpowder era fantasy/alternate war games (Sludge for example) given the number flintlock musket in the box. The SciFi guns are generic assault rifles that can be used for anything from retro space opera, the post apocalypse, to Weird WW1/2 if one wants. The fantasy weapons seemed a little on the thin side to me and if you do not count the 2 fantasy musket arms, limited to 2 spear arms and a sword arm with no shields. That said it is enough to turn all the scalies into proper fantasy lizardmen, the weapons are well sculpted and could be used for VSF as well, actually look good with the minis, and shields can be added from other kits as there are bare arms you can fit shields on. Plus if you want to build multiple tribes of lizardmen, then this is the kit to do that, one could probably make 3 or 4 different tribes with the headswaps alone. They are more historically scaled/proportioned 28mm which is fine for a non-human set and if one is already using historically scaled/proportioned 28mm minis for fantasy or VSF a bonus point. Just from my dry fitting, it looks like one can reuse the arms to kitbash mutant humans out of Wargames Atlantic and other manufactures historical scale sets the heads are a bit big though. Also from the looks of it one might also be able to use historical arms, like perry knight arms, on the lizardmen themselves which would be a great for fantasy gamers. Over all great kit, five stars.

Great set with a bunch of options for assembly. Can be combined with parts from other Wargames Atlantic sets for even more variety.

Look great. Work great.
A larger box of 24 miniatures. Make sure to get bases with them as they aren't included. I wish they had more weapons that weren't guns and a sword from world war 1 though.
