28mm Scale

Adolph Hitler's aggressive campaigns across the world ensured his troops would face the enemy in all environments and climates. None were more unforgiving than the harsh winters on the Eastern Front or in the Italian hills and mountains.

The resourceful German landser (common soldiers) often had to make do with little more than their standard issue woolen greatcoat, gloves, scarves and a steely determination to not only stave off the cold, but also be able to fight and win.

These highly detailed plastic figures are ideal to represent German Infantry (Winter) - be they Heer or Waffen-SS - facing the enemy in cold weather or in the very depths of the bitter winter snows. Weapons, equipment and headgear options allow you to build the figures for all periods of the war from the Blitzkrieg operations of 1939 and 1940 right through to the death throes of the Third Reich in Berlin during 1945.

Generally Applicable Winter Miniatures

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

I got a set of these pretty close to when they were first released. They're a bit on the tall side, as far as I can tell, but they look pretty good once they come together. They make either early or late war models pretty well and have the full spread of gear. I turned mine into Hungarian Honved, and look pretty good, in my opinion, if you look past everyone having Kar 98s. I've looked into it a bit and believe Some MP40's were given to them, and there's rules to upgrade Hungarian MG's to German.

Versatile box set

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

I bought a box to compliment my Finn's during doubles tournaments (i.e. smaller squad, two country scenarios). You can tailor them to fit different theaters, and I always like the feel of winter.
