Awesome paint, slight warping and damage.

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Kraken and tentacles look fantastic. One of the tentacles was snapped at the base but super glue fixed within a day. Also the sand islands are completely warped but can be fixed with hair dryer or plastic wrap dryer.

Kraken itself is great, but the tentacles in the set are even more useful.

Tentacles broke

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Tentacles fell off couch onto a cement floor, and snapped. Yes , I know cement is hard... but from off a couch? less than 2ft? Not impressed. All around this thing is GREAT at first, but you are going to have to baby this thing if you want it to last at all. And for $110, with no longevity.... Wish DnD would go back to the plastic they used on the original repainted minis. These new sets wont last.

This case incentive is simply spectacular. Easily one of the most outstanding case incentives Wizkids has done to date.

Best D&D Case Incentive Yet

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

This case incentive is absolutely gorgeous. The paint job on the Kraken head is amazing, and there are fine details on the carapace. The water effects on the base of the Kraken pieces are actually slightly translucent, and make for a great water effect. The two plastic sand bars are a bit flatter and less shaded than the rendered image indicates, but they get the job done. The treasure hoards are very nicely painted, and the lid on the treasure chest is removable. My only complaint with this set is that the tentacles lack the more details shading/highlighting found on the Kraken body, and appears as more of a flat set of browns. The body itself takes up a 4x4 tile space, and each individual tentacle takes up a 2x2 space. The rowboat can comfortably fit three medium sized miniatures, and the paddles are even removable. The set gives you everything you need for that level 20 boss fight, or even just a brief encounter to scare your players witless during their sea voyage. I was never really interested in buying the case incentives, but WizKids has REALLY stepped up their game as of late.
