Minis are great. Lots of detail and well painted for their price and table use.

Interesting and fun minis

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Good level of detail, well painted. The characters are interesting and unusual. I know they are from Descent, but would be a nice addition in any game.

Excellent Set

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

Adore this set. Slightly higher price point than some of the other starter sets but it is worth the extra money for the larger sized manticore and minotaur figures. Love the designs that Joe Manganiello and the Wizards team came up with; even though these are based on named characters from his campaign they can easily fit into your gameplay (I use Arkhan as a half dragon or dragonborn fighter or sorcerer, the beserker can fit any barbarian role, and the abishai, manitcore, and minotaur are easily utilized). The tortle sorcerer is a bit of a specific look but you can overlook his staff for a tortle NPC. The paint job on my set was pretty well done and looked even better than those in the photos though with mass produced minis keep in mind the paint job quality may vary. Overall, great set!

Great product, but temper expectations a bit

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

As with any promo picture, the paint job is not going to be as pristine in mass production. However, each mini still looks great, definitely table top standards in my opinion. I rated gameplay at 4 stars because Arkhan and Krull are so distinct I think it would be difficult to use them in a game as different characters. Great buy, all of these minis will see play in my game at some point, and I would definitely recommend picking up this set!
