Pandemic Legacy With Nate

It starts simply ...

A virus tougher than the rest. Nothing your team can't handle. But as January turns to February ...

What results is a year that will never be forgotten.

This is no ordinary virus. This is no ordinary year. Your team will see things, live things, do things that might just save humankind from being snuffed out completely.

The results of this year will be spoken in whispers for generations.

Can your team save humanity? Can your team make it through the year? Can your team face month after month of surprises, set backs, and fleeting victories?

Are you prepared for Pandemic Legacy?

Pandemic Legacy: Season 1 is a unique and epic cooperative game for 2 to 4 players. Unlike most other games, some of the actions you take in Pandemic Legacy will carry over to future games. What's more, the game is working against you. Playing through the campaign, you will open up sealed packets, reveal hidden information, and find the secrets locked within the game. The clock is ticking and you will only have two chances to win in a month before moving to the next. Characters will gain scars. Cities will panic. Diseases will mutate. No two worlds will ever be alike!

Co-Op Greatness
Without spoiling how this box opens throughout the months,

The game play is amazing taking the fun and excitement of Pandemic and adding new changes and conflicts that keep you on your toes every time. Having played Pandemic a few times, you can enter the first game with almost no preparation, but by the halfway point, it is clear you're not even in the same ballpark of games.

The new character sheets are excellent, but the packaging is otherwise very simple and straightforward. The pieces are mass produced and so far the new components have not been high quality upgrades either.

The game is engrossing, after playing through the first two months, my friends have been messaging each other about strategy to deal with whatever March might send our way.

If you liked Pandemic: grab this game,
If you like Legacy Style Games: grab this games
If you like RPGs and your friends don't: grab this game (my girlfriend calls my D&D group "nerd game" but expressed her connection to Wren the Dispatcher and wouldn't go anywhere where she could take major damage)

Great game - Mediocre service from Miniature Market...
Great game... the other reviews do a good job of reviewing the game itself.

In terms of service, shipping took a little while, but that's understandable with the flooding they were apparently having in their area. On top of that, though, the game box had bent up corners all around, and I don't think that happened from shipping.

Tons of fun
This is a great game that tells a fun story. I was a big fan of Risk Legacy and now I am hooked on Pandemic Legacy. The blue and the Red are exactly the same game but just the appearance of the box is different. That way you can have multiple copies of the games and play with multiple groups and keep track of them.

If you like co-ops, if you like Pandemic. Don't think twice get it.
To begin, I really liked the idea of the legacy aspect of Risk Legacy, but the game was flawed because it was still Risk. But when I heard about Pandemic Legacy, I knew it was a must buy. First off, I love Pandemic. I think it always really well balanced and fun with any group.

I absolute ADORE Pandemic Legacy. It's got everything I love about Pandemic but the Legacy aspect is so intriguing. Every month it's something new. You sit on the edge of your seat and are anxious about every game play and then you remember that you still have months left in the year to go. The anxiety level is off the charts and I can't wait to continue playing the rest of the game. You would think it would be hard to make this game even, but you can tell the designers went to great lengths to do so. It's amazing!

I will be in line to buy Season 2 as soon as it comes out...

Like I said if you like Pandemic, don't think twice just buy it!!!

Completely unique gaming experience
If you’ve played the Pandemic board game, then you already know the game dynamics. If you haven’t played Pandemic, play that first and then several times over (it’s great anyway) so that you can appreciate what the Legacy series does for the game. There is a story arch that plays out over 12 months, i.e., a minimum of 12 game sessions if you win every time (this WON’T happen) and a maximum of 24 games if you lose every time (this probably WON’T happen either). If you fail your first attempt you get a second attempt to complete the mission goal(s) for that month, hence the potential 24 game sessions.
Understand that the game is a story/campaign and it will only be played through once- events happen, you make decisions, permanent changes are made to the game rules, game mechanics, the game board and your characters. This is why I gave it 4 stars for value– some people may feel like there is diminished value since you can only play through the entire campaign once. Personally, I have no problem with this and don’t think it diminishes the value because this is such a unique, memorable and gripping game experience. Players literally don’t know what to expect from game to game because each session will introduce new elements that are only revealed per the instructions when you begin a new month.
No spoilers here, but beginning with the first game, the game play of Pandemic begins to change. New twists and unique situations come up that make the game a very intense and entertaining experience precisely because the game dynamics change from month to month. It is still Pandemic with its core mechanics of co-operative game play to cure the diseases. However, it is also a completely new Pandemic experience. All sorts of sacred gaming etiquette is broken – you write on the board and your character cards, you permanently alter the board, oh you will also TEAR UP cards! Your campaign over the 12 months will become a completely unique path based on the choices you make as players and the permanent modifications you select to battle the diseases. Your strategies and player characters will change out of necessity with the twists and turns of each game.
Having played up until June, we’ve won 4 times and lost 3 times – it’s Pandemic after all. We can’t wait for the next time we can all get together to play, discussing strategy and assessing previous mistakes in the interim. The game experience is unlike any I’ve had; I can’t recommend it enough.

Pandemic has become even better
I have played many games of pandemic. I have played at various difficulty levels and with different expansions. It is a great game and one that I can play with any group. I was pretty much done with it. Whenever it would be suggested I would sigh. The prospect of playing again bored me. Pandemic legacy changed that. I don't want to stop playing. I wish I was playing it right now. The game keeps unfolding and becoming more exciting. I can't wait to see what happens next.
