Great 2 player version

Average rating of 5 out of 5 stars

My game group loves the original Codenames. I got this for when it's just me and my wife playing. It's so much fun.

Perfect for couples (we've given this as a wedding gift several times)

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

This is an amazing couples game (especially with a glass or two of something good). Whenever my wife and I have communication issues, we just say, Well that means it's time to play more Codenames Duet.

Very fun codenames but for two players. I ignored this campaign thing and just played the game

Challenging but fun

Even though it is a little more difficult than expected, my husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing.

Mix and match Codenames

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

Since our kids have left home, Codenames: Duet is a fantastic way to play Codenames for my wife and I. However, we like to use the cards from Codenames: Pictures better than the word cards. But all are fun!

Great 2 player Codenames implementation

Average rating of 4 out of 5 stars

This is a great implementation of the Codenames game for 2 players. In it, you are working as a team to try and guess your clues. It gives you a bunch more words to use, although some of these appear to be stretching the word pool a bit. These can easily be added to with the Codenames or Pictures pool for more variety. The game plays nice and quickly as well, so can easily be played a few times in a row. It is quick to teach and set up, which is great for work night games with the family. The only thing you lose is the party atmosphere from the main game. There isn’t really much conversation and it is played mainly in silence. And like it’s predecessor, sometimes you just get a bad combination of words to link.
