Best Small expansion for eldritch horror
I have a small bias towards this expansion since the lore behind the king in yellow is one of my favorites however I will say that Hastur as an enemy in eldritch horror is exciting difficult and has layers of variation to keep it feeling fresh for multiple games.

Not much new
The greatest thing about this expansion is the new Ancient One, Hastur. I loved the lore, as well as the depth. He leads to a short, but intensive game. Everything else was mediocre. One of the new characters (Wendy Adams) makes quick work of Hastur. Another, Jenny Barnes, almost completely breaks the game. A new card type, talents is added. They are pretty rare to come across, and have almost the exact same effect as other spells. The new items are nothing new. You've seen it all before. The new mythos cards are either VERY benificial, or VERY detrimental. I feel like they take away from the strategy of the game, and adds a stronger dependence on luck. If you're a fan of Eldritch Horror, I would recommend any other expansion over this one (FL>SR>MoM>UtP>SoC). If you've already purchased the other expansions, and are STILL wanting to diversify your game, you might enjoy it. Overall, I'd give it a pass.
