If you enjoy complex worker placement games in the new europeon strategy style I'd recommend feast of odin. It is quite expensive but it comes with well made parts with lots of details.

This game gives you so many options of how to get things done. Want to focus on Farming or Livestock, or maybe Raiding new lands. You can become the best hunter or just mine the mountains for everything you need. Many paths to success and the addition of a Polyomino puzzle with upgrading goods is a great addition to the worker placement.

This game is very complex and if you are new to it, expect a lot of analysis paralysis in your first playthrough of the game as it is very open ended with lots of options to choose from and you will not be sure where to begin. Once you learn the game this gets better and all the options are great because you can play with completely different strategies each time which leads to a lot of replayability. There is very little chance involved in the game as even the chance elements have a lot of mitigation to them if you strategize well going into them or are only mildly necessary to get certain things and more guide your choices than make or break your game. Highly recommend to those who have played and enjoyed heavier (complex) games. If you are newer to the board game hobby or play mainly lighter games, you might want to avoid this game.

A Feast for Odin was an unexpected game for me. I’ve read other reviews and they pretty said that it’s a heavier and oftentimes overwhelming game.
I personally find it so relaxing. The game is very thematic. I feel like I was part of the Viking family try to live out our lives.
I 100% recommend this game! It’s a fantastic game with huge replayability.
