Game pieces are good quality; board, cards, tiles, and miniatures. Rule book appears organized and easy to follow and understand. Great game to play solo or with friends.

I have played a lot of the original Nemesis game which I have had for a few years and decided to pick up the sequel game. Playing it felt similar to the original but refreshingly different and a lot of fun. Great models, loved the new characters. Highly recommend!

Received this quickly! Unfortunately, one corner of the box was completely torn, but it could be the couriers fault. Regardless, I will always use MM they are the best! I’m sure they will make it right as they always do 😊

This is pretty pricey. Components are good quality. But there’s a lot of randomness. Very broadly it reminds me of Robinson Crusoe: you’re going to die/lose often but the experience is fun and will tell a story.
Make sure you watch some videos and do your research before purchasing.

Nemesis Lockdown is the second entry in the Nemesis series, but the first one that I played personally. The game is very fun, and successfully creates a very tense atmosphere between the dangers posed by the aliens, and the uncertainty regarding whether you can trust the other survivors. I think the game is really good, but it does come with 2 caveats that I think make it not appropriate for all tables or game nights
1) The game is quite hard. Until you know the ins and outs of the game pretty well, you may find that your sessions end with everyone dying and no winners. You should make sure your players are down for an experience where things can turn against them very quickly, and a short string of bad luck can kill you during an otherwise smooth run.
2) The game has nothing for you to do once your character is dead, and it is very possible to die early in a game where the other survivors go the distance, leaving a player to either spectate (which can be quite fun if you're invested in what happens to everyone else) or entertain themselves for the next hour.
If neither of these sounds like a deal breaker for you, go for it! If you'd like to try the game out at a lower price tag, there is a digital version on steam that is quite good, and the publisher's discord community can be used to find games if you aren't just playing with your friends.

I own the original Nemesis, and thought it couldnt get any better. Nemesis Lockdown has changed that. It brings new mechanics, such as noise token removals, power mechanics for the three various levels of the facility, and elevator that makes movement over the board much easier. It has been extremely enjoyable!

Very cool game. The rules can be a little overwhelming and winning is difficult but it is still a great game.

I've played Nemesis a dozen times in all of its various incarnations (Aftermath, Void Seekers, Carnomorphs Intruder Mode, Solo, Fully Co-Op, etc), and the learning curve for Lockdown was extremely manageable. The game is awesome, adding more of what I love without adding any undue complexity-power takes a short bit to figure out, as did contingencies and whether the bunker was a part of the facility or not, but overall under half an hour to learn the new stuff).

Being a huge fan of the original Nemesis I was very excited to play this new game. Although very similar, it feels fresh and new. The new elements that they added (power, darkness, CSS pods, contingencies, etc) all work well and add to the game. Fun and challenging to "win". I look forward to playing it may times in the future.

If you aren't familiar with the original Nemesis, I recommend checking that out first, as Lockdown added some new elements that make the game a bit more complex.
You play either as a survivor of the Nemesis incident, either one of the original characters or one of two new characters made for this game, or one of four employees of the Mars facility.
The Mars facility has a couple of new twists. Instead of escape pods, the players can either escape to a bunker that only opens under specific circumstances and requires either a rover or enviro suit to reach, or they can use cargo pods, which launch on a fixed, but unpredictable schedule. Alternatively, they can lock themselves in isolation cells on the lowest level.
In addition, the power system on the base is damaged and unstable, so unless you want to bump around in the dark you need to recycle the power system, which won't light the whole place up, but will give you a little more control of the situation.
The base is split into three levels, which you can easily access by elevator if it has power. If it doesn't, then you'll be using stairwells, which can be much more dangerous.
You can research intruder weaknesses as with the original Nemesis, but in Lockdown you also need to have a high enough knowledge level to take advantage of them.
The company also has an agenda and players that survive may still end up dead when their contingencies come into play, so a big part of the game is figuring out what contingency is in play.
The new intruders, the Night Stalkers, play a lot like the original intruders but are more likely to surprise attack the players in dark areas of the map.
Overall, it's Nemesis with a new setting and a new intruder species. If you love the original game, it's well worth the money.
