This game is fast and easy to learn, good for a few people. Not so much fun for 2, but it's still ok.

Sushi Go! is the perfect example of a game you can teach to anyone of any age. The object is to build the sushi plate that will give you the highest amount of points in each round. After 3 rounds, the game is over, and the person with the most points wins! Just like life.
The artwork is cute and, believe it or not, appetizing. I mean, who wouldn't want to eat a dumpling that's smiling back at you? There are many ways in which you can earn points in each round, but your opponents can take cards from the table to ensure you don't get the cards you want. It's a nice balance of strategy and luck.
I would recommend this to anyone trying to teach the concept of modern board gaming to new players, or for anyone wanting to try something light to begin or end the night, or in between meatier games. You won't go starving with Sushi Go!

Heres a pleasant light card filler. In card drafting games like this one always wishes that s/he had the cards and time to make one more move to add on to a combo set. I think this is the beauty in SushiGo! gamers will keep coming back.

Strategy is light, game play is quick and it is very fun to play. This is one of my favorite filler games or one I introduce to "non- gamers" The draft mechanic leads to good player interaction.

I really like Sushi Go, its a great little filler when you need a break from the big boys and or a warm up before the night kicks off. I have found in my copy that the components are a little on the cheap side. I would love to sleeve the cards, but they wont fit in the tin if you do. All in all its worth the price tag and is a lot of fun.

In Sushi Go! you are passing around sushi themed cards because... Well, that doesn't matter, really. The theming is just for looks and is non-existent as far as gameplay goes.
You start with a hand of cards (dealt out randomly). The number you start with depends on the number of people playing (2-5 players).
You choose one card to keep, place it face down in front of you, and pass the rest of the hand clockwise and face down. Once each player has chosen one card to keep, you all simultaneously reveal it and keep it face up in your play area. You then pick up the hand that was passed to you, choose one to keep, and pass them on again. Play continues like this until you pass the last card and everyone is forced to keep it (since there are no others left to choose from) and you score your "hand" that consists of the cards you have collected during the round.
Some cards are worth a set amount of points, some only score if you have two or more of them, some score if you have them in threes, some score if you have the most of that type out of any players, etc. There are even cards that are negative points if you have the least.
The strategy comes in watching what other people are taking. Do you take the card YOU need, or do you take a card that the NEXT player wants and seems to be collecting (just so you can mess him/her over)? Do you play it safe and take a low but sure to score card, or do you go for something worth more but only if you manage to snag two more like it? There is a little "take that!" and some "push your luck" in this game.
The artwork is adorable and the theme is cute (but pointless). It also comes in a durable tin and has a nice insert to store the cards. I highly recommend it for a light "filler" game or for playing with families and non-gamers. It is quick to teach, quick to play, and easy to pack up.

Sushi Go is a great little drafting game with adorable art and easy to learn / master gameplay. It's very fast - each game only lasts a few minutes - and each card explains it's scoring system fairly well. And once everyone gets the hang of it, you'll start to see some strategies and patterns emerge. Nothing beats putting down the card you know the person next to you needs, and watching their face as they realize they won't complete a set of 3.
Great addition to the table, and you can scoop it up for less than ten bucks.

The price of this game could be doubled and it would still be worth the money. My wife adores this game, and it introduced her to card games. Easy, yet strategic, just remember to yell SUSHI GO!!!!!!!! every turn.

If your new to gaming or Drafting then this a great game to start with because it is affordable enough to tryout even if your not sure if you will like it.(Spoiler:You will.)

Reading this review could possibly take long than a round of Sushi Go! It is simple to learn, easy to play and actually has a lot of strategy involved.
The game is played in three rounds. In each round, each player is dealt seven cards. Each player chooses one card and everyone reveals that card at the same time. The remaining cards are passed to the left and each player chooses one card from that hand and everyone reveals it at once. The remaining cards are passed to the left. This continues until all the cards in the hands are played. Players total their score based on the cards in front of them. The cards show how they are to be scored (or the handy included reference sheet is included but soon memorized).
Each player's score is record, another hand of seven cards is dealt to each player and the process repeats. Do it one more time and the player with the highest score wins. Once a player has the process down, it is very easy to have a game done under 10 minutes.
This game is just a bit harder than rock/paper/scissors but way more fun. Of course, it doesn't play like roshambo, other than you are going to have to guess what your opponents' strategy is, Decisions have to be made: do I play the card I need for points or play the card my opponent wants to deny them from getting points?
The art is cute and game play is appropriate for kids probably 10 and up. Sure, you *could* play with 2 players, but I imagine it being very boring. We have played with 3, 4 & 5. Gameplay is pretty much the same, just counting cards is harder and the chance of that pudding card you need to complete your collection making it back around to you goes way down.....

The first thing you may notice about Sushi Go! (after the exclamation in the title) is that it is adorable. Everything in this game wears a happy smile, despite having been recently sliced or fried.
You may also notice the clarity of the cards. There’s nothing to reference or memorize; each card, Bohnanza-style, shows you how it scores with easy-to-understand numbers.
It follows very familiar and easy-to-grasp drafting rules: take a card for yourself, pass the rest of the hand to your neighbor, then repeat. This makes for basically no downtime, and some tough decisions about how to augment your cardstock dining experience.
The diner who has the most harmonious meal after 3 rounds (plus dessert!) wins! Sushi Go! is a fun and quick drafting game that is definitely worth your time.

A challenge with most drafting games is teaching them to other players due to their somewhat complex nature. Sushi Go! solves those problems by creating a fun, quick, intuitive and beautiful game for all players.
This game consists of various Sushi themed cards. Each card is worth a certain number of points by itself or possibly more when combined with others cards. Starting with a hand of cards, players choose a card to play and pass the rest to the person next to them.
What makes this a great intro drafting game is that it is simple and intuitive. Each point / combo mechanic is listed on the individual card. Combinations make sense and player's easily learn what cards they want for their combos / highest points.
Sushi Go! is a great game to teach younger gamers, non-gamers, or as an intro game to others such as 7 Wonders or Among the Stars.

This game is amazing! it's easy to learn and quick to play. This game is great for all ages and gaming ability. You start the round with a hand of about 9 cards depending on how many you're playing with. You play a card, and pass your hand. The round continues until the cards have all been played. You earn points by collecting sushi of the same type. Some sushi collections need a certain number of the same sushi, others you must have more than all your other opponents. Be careful which sushis you start to collect, as not all the cards in the sushi go deck are dealt in one round. You might be stuck with 2/3 of a collection, which earns you 0 points at the end of the round. Don't forget to enjoy how adorably kawaii all of the illustrations on the cards are!

This is one of my favorite "filler games" for between games. Game play is quick and the drafting mechanic provides a fun player to player interaction. It is also easy to learn and has a fun theme. I love hearing people shout "Sush Go!" at our table.

A basic Pick one, pass your hand to try to build the best Sushi dinner.
Super easy to learn, allowing for different combos to focus on, to score points and the artwork makes the game. I do wish the card stock was a little thicker because picking up and playing cards does wear them quickly. The box is a tin designed to stow and go easily.
Awesome game for all ages with adorable art and a good theme

After a few times playing,
I can say that it's a very addictive short game.
Played it with my family and die Hard boardgamers,
and both seem to have a good time playing.
Ohh and the artwork is pretty cuddly!
